About MRIT Consulting

MRIT Consulting is an independent private cloud practice specializing in VMware Cloud Foundation and Nutanix. We help organizations design, build, migrate, and modernize the platforms their business runs on, with senior-level architecture and hands-on delivery from a former VMware architect.

Who you'll work with

MRIT Consulting is led by Tolgahan Yilmaz, a Computer Engineering graduate and former VMware SDDC Architect with more than a decade in infrastructure engineering.

During five years at VMware, first in technical support and then in Professional Services, he designed and delivered VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Cloud Director environments for large telecom operators, banks, government agencies, and defense, energy, and aviation organizations across Turkey and the Middle East. That work included multi-datacenter NSX designs, zero-trust micro-segmentation, NFV platform upgrades, and several NSX-V to NSX-T migrations in production environments.

Since 2023 he has continued that work in the United States. At a U.S. defense contractor, he led improvements to the company's VMware platform, supported customer deployments, and helped teams run Rancher-based Kubernetes platforms. Since 2024 he has also delivered VMware engagements for Broadcom as an independent contractor through a Broadcom partner, and he currently serves as NSX Architect for a major U.S. energy company.

He holds both VMware Certified Implementation Expert credentials, in Data Center Virtualization (VCIX-DCV) and Network Virtualization (VCIX-NV), along with current Broadcom-era VCAP certifications in NSX design and deployment. His background also includes Cisco routing and switching, Linux, Kubernetes, and automation, going back to building a university network and security lab.

That range means designs are shaped by how the platform will actually be run, not just how it looks on paper.
